Sacred - Artist's Statement
The ancients built their temples with magnificent large stones, usually arranged into circles. These places of worship possess qualities that, to this day, we still don’t understand. They are able to track the movements of the Sun and Moon, often have measurably higher radiation levels and line up with other stone circles many, many miles away. Without any modern day technology, how did the ancients understand the sky’s movements with such pin-point precision? How did they move stones of such immense proportions into position? What did the ancients know that we don’t? Has all our technology stopped us from listening to our own innate wisdom?
These stones were surely the gateway to other realms. If we are brave enough, can we step beyond the gate to find the answers that we seek?
